BEFORE SENDING YOUR APPLICATION, PLEASE CHECK THAT YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR FUNDING!!!
You may be nationals of any country. Eligible means that you have a master's degree and do not have more than 4 years of research experience (counted from the diploma giving access to doctoral studies) in the country in which your master degree was obtained. Persons who have obtained a doctorate are ineligible.
Four examples:
1. Lucky-luc is finishing his 5th year of PhD in the west of America: He is not eligible, because he is too experimented.
2. Lee is starting his PhD in a famous Chinese University: Lucky guy, you are eligible!
3. Lucy is starting her doctorate in Germany and obtained her master degree last year in a German University: She is eligible!
4. After only two years of intensive work, Paul defended his PhD successfully last month in a Spanish University: Unfortunately he is not eligible!
If you are eligible, please send us your application:
The scientific committee of EFEPOC will select 15 applicants. Their Registration fees, travel and living expenses will be totally (or partially) paid by the European Community.

Your application must contain:
1. Your curriculum vitae
2. A motivation letter
3. A recommandation letter from your supervisor
4. The completed application form.

Selection criteria of the Scientific Committee
• the applicant's research interest and its links with the goals of the school
• the motivation of the applicant
• the age of the applicant, or more precisely the fact that he/she is starting his/her PhD in one of the topics of the event
• the support and recommendation provided by the supervisor of the applicant
• the gender : to reinforce and increase the place and role of women in science and research, we aim at 40% of female applicants.
• the nationality: An international balance between the participants shall be guaranteed.
Selection results before end of March.
Application procedure
1. Please first download the application form "BASE Application_Form.xls excel file, fill it in and take note of your Applicant Reference Number (top right of the completed application form).
Rename this file: “Applicant Reference Number application.doc”
2. Write a detailed curriculum vitae using BASE_CV_template.doc (size should not exceed 500 kb).
Rename this file: “Applicant Reference Number_CV.doc”
3. Write a motivation letter (size should not exceed 500 kb).
Please name your file:
“Applicant Reference Number_motivation.doc”
4. Provide a recommendation letter from your scientific supervisor. Scan this letter in PDF format (size do not exceed 500 kb). Please name your file: “Applicant Reference Number_recommendation.doc”

5. Please submit your application by email and attach the 4 documents. The subject of this mail MUST ONLY be: Applicant Reference Number.
