Travel information

First of all, you should travel to Ciudad Real (Spain). Ciudad Real is connected by air mainly through the Madrid-Barajas International Airport, at a distance of approximately 210 km from Ciudad Real. Ciudad Real is connected by a high speed train (55 min) from the Atocha Renfe railway station. In the following you will find information about how to come to Ciudad Real from Madrid.

FROM BARAJAS AIRPORT TO ATOCHA RENFE RAILWAY STATION

• You can take a taxi at the airport and ask for Atocha Renfe Railway Station. Fare: 30 € approx.
• You can take the subway (metro), which has a station at the airport, and go to Atocha Renfe. You need to do the following transfers:
1.- Pink Line (Number 8) from Barajas Airport to Nuevos Ministerios.
2.- Grey Line (Number 6) from Nuevos Ministerios to Pacífico.
3.- Light Blue Line (Number 1) from Pacífico to Atocha Renfe.
Trip takes 45-60 minutes. Fare: 2 € approx.

Once in Atocha Renfe, look for “Puerta de Atocha” (Departure Gate of trains destiny to Ciudad Real). Atocha is an international train station and there is information in English. Do not hesitate to ask at the information desks whether you need help. Ticket fare for “Avant” train to Ciudad Real is 19 € approx. Trip takes 55 minutes. A car rental service is also available at the airport.

Alternatively, you could fly DIRECTLY to Ciudad Real landing at Ciudad Real-Central Airport. It is located 15 km from Ciudad Real at the A-43 Motorway, Exit 178.

There are direct flights from Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. There are connections to many other international destinations. There are buses from the passengers terminal to Ciudad Real that stop in both bus and railway stations. The price is 2.10 €. Schedules are available in the airport web-page.
HOW TO GO FROM CIUDAD REAL TO ALMAGRO

By train:
There are direct trains from Ciudad Real to Almagro (2.40 €). Departure times:
Ciudad Real-Almagro: 9:18 - 14:41 - 17:26 - 21:50 (Except Saturdays).
Almagro-Ciudad Real: 8:43 - 13:33 (Except Sundays) - 15:55 - 21:02.
By Bus:
There are direct buses from Ciudad Real to Almagro (»2 €). Departure times:
Ciudad Real-Almagro. Monday to Friday: 7:00 – 12:30 – 13:00- 13:30 – 14:00 – 17:00 – 19:15. Saturday: 13:00 – 17:00
Almagro-Ciudad Real: Monday to Friday: 8:00 - 8:30 - 9:00 - 11:45 - 15:00 - 16:00 - 18:15. Saturday: 9:30 15:00
